Family-Owned Vineyard & Event Venue Near Atlanta

A Legacy Rooted in Family Heritage

In the 1950s, Wilbert Norwood envisioned more than just a plot of land in Jonesboro, GA; he foresaw a future where this land would become a cherished family-owned vineyard near Atlanta. He planted muscadines, vegetables, and the seeds of a legacy that would sustain generations. Although none of us grandchildren ever met him, his vision shaped our family in ways we feel every day.

Our grandmother Sarah took what Wilbert started and nurtured it with love and care, turning this land into more than just a property—it became the heart of our family. For over 70 years, it’s been where we’ve celebrated reunions, birthdays, and milestones that stretched far beyond our family tree.

Today, as three of Wilbert’s grandchildren, we’re honored to open the gates of our private vineyard event venue near Atlanta, welcoming you into the legacy we’ve always called home. At Norwood Vineyard, we hope you feel like the extended family member who shows up to every reunion—warmly welcomed, even if no one can quite figure out how you’re related.

While we’re not a commercial winery, we offer something even more timeless: a beautiful open-air venue near Atlanta where new traditions take root amidst natural beauty. Between the vines and under the open sky, your celebrations become part of the land’s rich history.

The beauty of this space isn’t just in its natural surroundings—it’s in the moments you’ll create here. From weddings to reunions, and intimate gatherings to milestone celebrations, Norwood Vineyard is where generations meet, traditions are born, and legacies grow.

One day, we hope someone will write about how Norwood Vineyard became part of your family’s story, too.

With Gratitude, From Our Family to Yours

At Norwood Vineyard, our dream of blending family, connection, and legacy became a reality thanks to those who believed in us from the start.

To Shirreka Mackay & Family, Ronald McKenzie, Nicole Armstrong of Armstrong Holding, and the Norwood Family Estate: thank you for your trust, generosity, and vision. Your support has turned this land into a space where celebrations and traditions thrive for generations to come.
